I’m running for re-election to the Tustin Unified School Board to build upon the success of the last 4 years and finish the work we started, ensuring our schools stay some of the best in the state. Public education shaped my whole life, and right now public education is under attack. Raised by parents who taught in our Tustin schools, and a TUSD graduate myself, I understand the value of quality public education. I’ve worked the last four years on delivering for our kids, and the results are positive; improved test scores and graduation rates, increased career pathway and dual college enrollments, and increases in AP test participation. Despite the pandemic and cynical political grandstanding from outside elements, the past 4 years have been marked by sustained success and excellence, and that’s what I’ll continue to deliver as your trustee.
If re-elected, I will continue to put students first and:
- Ensure a parent voice in their child’s education
- Strong fiduciary oversight to ensure resources are spent wisely and in the classroom
- Advocate for, and deliver, better facilities, laboratories, and upgraded classrooms in our schools
- Maintain focus on increasing early reader success
- Ensure that students graduate prepared for college and career
